Auditory misinterpretation

Auditory misinterpretation is an auditory distortion/hallucination in which the person experiencing will either not understand speech or hear something else entirely. The distortion aspect makes the speech incomprehensible to the person experiencing it. While as the hallucination aspect of it will come off as normal to the person experiencing but will not be accurate to what the original speech was.

This effect is common with most deliriants such as diphenhydramine, datura, and etc but can also be prevalent in other hallucinogenic compounds.
