Gustatory hallucination

Gustatory hallucinations are best described as hallucinations involving the sense of taste. A common example of this is when one's mouth, mostly one's saliva, picks up a strong sweet taste, despite no stimulus. This type of hallucination is rather strange, compared to other types of hallucinations.
