Physical fatigue is a symptom characterized by feelings of tiredness and weakness. It can occur after prolonged physical exertion and extended periods of wakefulness. Fatigue can also be caused by mental factors such as boredom, depression, stress, or over/under-stimulation. People who are fatigued may find it difficult to complete physical tasks, converse, focus, or even think straight. Fatigue can generally be treated by having a period of rest or sleep.
