:'Phenidates' and 'phenidate compounds' see frequent use within literature to refer to the class. 'Esters of ritalinic acid and its analogs' is the definition we like to use for the 'phenidate' class. Do keep in mind that some short-hand is necessary for our readers, particularly as it pertains to the "chemical class" portions of our substance boxes.
