It is believed that 2C-H has little to no affinity for the 5-HT2A receptor, thus lacking psychedelic effects. It does however, have affinity for the 5-HT2C receptor, which is responsible for some stimulant effects.
There is no record of 2C-H trials in humans, as it would likely be destroyed by monoamine oxidase enzymes before causing any significant psychoactive effects.[2] Very little data exists about the pharmacological properties, metabolism, and toxicity of 2C-H. However, it has been shown to have binding affinity towards 5-HT2C and 5-HT2A receptors in rats.
