'''Dosage independent intensity''' can be described as the very inconsistent but not uncommon occurrence of spontaneously transversing to higher levels of the psychedelic experience irrelevant of the dosage taken. The [[psychedelic]] experience is generally categorized and broken down into 5 separate levels of intensity with the biggest factor for an individual reaching any of these particular levels being dosage, however with the orally active tryptamines such as [[psilocin]], [[ayahuasca]] and [[4-AcO-DMT]] a relatively common phenomenon of occasionally being able to reach higher levels of experience regardless of the amount taken by the individual is something that can manifest and is not typically observed in [[LSD]] or [[mescaline]] experiences or with other common [[psychedelics]]. Some have come to view this as being a sort of "rabbit hole effect" or just a complete transgression of normal pharmacology.  

This effect often takes the user by surprise and more often than not occurs during the peak of the trip. Individuals who experience this uncanny effect describe it usually as being very profound and boundary dissolving partially due to its often unexpected and spontaneous nature. Users can feel as if the experience itself has no bottom and no real end resulting in even small doses leading to comparatively powerful manifestations of [[hallucinatory states]], [[existential self-realization]], [[exposure to inner mechanics of consciousness]], [[spirituality enhancement]] and even [[ego death]].  

Though this effect is not generally observed in other more common psychedelics even with substances like [[psilocin]] and [[ayahuasca]] it is not very consistent. It usually seems to happen to users who are somewhat experienced with the substance as well.
